History of The Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences
 

Abant Izzet Baysal University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences was established in Bolu in 1978 under the name of the School of Dispatch and Administration, affiliated to the Ankara Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences. Bolu Higher School of Dispatch and Administration, which started its education with two hundred and two (202) students, has the distinction of being the first and only school established with this name in our country. The first faculty members of the school came from the “Ankara Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences” and the “Institute of Public Administration of Turkey and the Middle East”, apart from the current teaching staff.

On the later with the law of No. 2809  which adopted on 28.03.1983, our faculty renamed  “Bolu School of Administrative Sciences” and connected to the connected to Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Gazi University.

Then The "Bolu School of Administrative Sciences” was transformed into the “Gazi University Bolu Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences” with the law of No. 3389 which enacted in 1987.

Our faculty is affiliated to Abant Izzet Baysal University, with the law of No 3837 which was adopted  on 03.07.1992.

Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences provides undergraduate education in 5 departments: Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations and Public Finance. While all of these departments have a master's degree program, there is also a doctoral program in the departments of Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration and International Relations.
