The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences building, one of the first structures constructed within our University, has been affected by earthquakes in previous years. Therefore, as part of the risk analysis plan for 2025, the earthquake resistance of our building was measured. As a result of the Earthquake Performance Analysis conducted, the preliminary report submitted to our Faculty as of September 11, 2025, determined that our Faculty building was not earthquake resistant
under the impact of a Class DD1 earthquake. In accordance with the aforementioned report, and for the safety of our students and staff, no physical education will be carried out in our Faculty building during the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
Until the reinforcement and repair work is completed, education will continue through face-to-face education methods in the alternative areas specified below (excluding graduate programs).

Department of Finance → Faculty of Agriculture
Department of Economics → Faculty of Engineering
Department of Public Administration → Faculty of Law
Department of International Relations → School of Foreign Languages
Department of Econometrics → School of Foreign Languages
The locations and times of classes for the 2025-2026 academic year will be announced in the course schedules published on our faculty website. The UBYS system will open for student course registration on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Our priority is the safety of our students and staff. All processes related to this matter are being meticulously managed by our University Rectorate and Faculty Dean's Office, and decisions are being implemented accordingly.
