The “First Step to Entrepreneurship” event, jointly organized by the International Relations Community and the Entrepreneurs Community, was held on May 09, 2025 at the Pink Hall of the Cultural Center with a large turnout. The guest of the event was Mr. Murtaza KARANFİL, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Karanfil Group and also the Representative of the Turkey-Libya Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK). KARANFİL, one of the important actors of international trade, shared his knowledge and insights based on his 35 years of experience with the participants at the event. He particularly focused on strategic perspectives and opportunities in terms of Türkiye’s economic relations with Libya.

The event was moderated by International Relations Department Faculty Member and International Relations Society Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlhan Sağsen and Science Education Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Fatih Aydın. During the session, content that would inspire and provide practical guidance to young entrepreneur candidates was presented. Libya's strategic trade potential for Turkey, sustainable growth strategies and methods that can be followed in opening up to international markets were discussed in detail.

The Q&A session held in the last part of the event was very productive with the participation of the students. The participants had the chance to ask Mr. Karanfil their questions about international trade, entrepreneurship and sectoral opportunities. This friendly and interactive environment increased the motivation of the young people towards the business world and broadened their vision.
